Mainstream scientists and historians scoff at the notion of Atlantis, not realizing that the Sierra Morena mountains of southern Spain was the rich mineral source (for bronze age weapons) described in Plato’s Atlantis, with the Atlantean plain to the south of that mountain range the realm of Atlantis, and the City of Posidon now submerged at one of several reported locations in the region of the mouth of the Guadalquiver River, submerged since the end of the Ice Age, and sites of other submerged ruins reported off Morocco (named after the Formorians, the Formoriachi, later known as the Moors), and off Algeria, named after Geryon, one of the sons of Posidon, who actually was Sidon, a son of Canaan in the Bible.

Of course, the Atlas mountains of Morocco, and the Atlantic ocean, were named after Atlas, another son of Sidon, and yet another, Antaeus, was the namesake of the ancient Antisuyo tribe of the Andes mountains (also named after Antaeus), demonstrating that those ancients were savvy navigators, across the great oceans, actually having accurately mapped the earth during the Ice Age, as explained for you in article #2 at

The ancient name for Lisbon, Portugal, was Olisippo, named after Elasippo, which means rider (of horses), who was another son of Poseidon in Plato’s Atlantis story, and much nearer Gibraltar is Cadiz, Spain, which was named after Gades, another son of Poseidon (Sidon) in the story, so for mainstream scientists and historians to not see these obvious geographical name connections to the people named in the Atlantis story is certainly academic deliquency, all because they think the Ice Age ended much earlier than the evidence actually indicates, as you read on under category Submerged Ancient Ruins.
