The units of measure to survey great ancient megalithic constructions such as the archaic stone block structures of the Acropolis in Athens, the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and King Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem, were derived by measuring time; the royal cubit in the cases of Solomon’s Temple and the Great Pyramid, and the olympic foot in the case of the Acropolis, two uniquely differing subdivisions of the radius length of the earth, determined by the method,  according to the earth’s wobble rate, explained in article #2 at http://IceAgeCivilizations.com, by measuring precession time, with the royal cubit utilized for Noah’s Ark, then the Great Pyramid, then Solomon’s Temple (with the help of the navigating Phoenicians of Tyre), and the Acropolis in olympic feet (600 of which equalled a greek stadion), the standard measure of distance in ancient Greece.

The base-perimeter-length of the Great Pyramid of Giza, which is half a nautical mile, is a squaring of the circle of the earth, reduced by a factor of 43,200, so to cube the sphere of the earth, that cube would have sides measuring 10,800 base-perimeter-lengths, which could have been used for a great ancient monument, in cube form, but it’s apparent that the pyramid form, utilized at Giza, because it allowed the ancients to embody the pi value in it (as explained in the link), was the form of choice in the ancient world, proven with the vast array of stone or clay-brick pyramids which were built around the world during the bronze age, when they traveled quickly and precisely by sea, the navigational skill needed with ancient precession mapping method.
