During the Ice Age, the Black Sea, north of Turkey, was actually a vast inland lake, the outflow of which was the River Rhode down to the ocean, that valley now the Dardanelles/Bosporus Strait, the strait which has connected the Black Sea with the world ocean ever since the end of the Ice Age when the sea level rose a few hundred feet with the melting of the ice age icepacks.  The Dardanelles is named after Dardanus, a greek king from around 1400 B.C., who settled there in northwest Turkey, with one of his sons, Troas, being the namesake of the famous ancient city there, Troy, built circa 1400 B.C., on the high ground overlooking the strait of Dardan, the Dardanelles, which had only recently become the connecter between the newly risen Aegean Sea (world ocean) and what had been a vast inland lake, but then a sea, the Black Sea.

Greek legend confirms this sea level rise at the time of Dardanus, and Plato noted that Atlantis and much of Greece were inundated by a sea level rise in the times of kings Cecrops, Erysichthon, Erichtheus, and Erichtonius, whom the experts say lived circa 1300 B. C., who ruled, as the greek history says, beginning 189 years after anarchy had set in when the flood of Ogyges occurred, putting the beginning of the end of the Ice Age at circa 1500 B.C., the sea level rise which progressed in full within about a century, at which point Dardanus and Troas began to build Troy on high ground next to the newly risen sea.

Checkout my documentary Dark Secrets of the Black Sea, which presents much of the fascinatingly corroborative evidence that it infilled during the time of the Exodus of the Jews out of Egypt, circa 1500 B.C., when the sea level rise submerged many coastal megalithic cities, the ruins of some of those now in the Black Sea, along the old lake shoreline, from a time when it was warmer there during the winter, and cooler during the summer, because of much more cloudcover, during the Ice Age.

A major participant in the documentary is ex soviet scientist Sergei Golovin of http://ScienceandApologetics.org, who provided much expertise regarding the geology and hydrology reflecting the flooding of the ocean’s salt water into the Black Sea basin at the close of the Ice Age when the level of the world ocean rose a few hundred feet, and Sergei also provides fascinating insights into the veracity of Genesis 10, the Table of Nations, with grandsons of Noah; Ashkenaz, Gomer, and Asshur, having prominence in ancient place names along the shores of the Black Sea, some of their progenies’ land having been lost when the Black Sea was infilled, probably within a year or so, as the sea level was rising a few feet per year when the Ice Age was ending.

And to learn how the ancients, during the Ice Age, were measuring and mapping the earth by the wobble rate of the earth’s axis, checkout article #2 at http://IceAgeCivilizations.com.  For a great overview of ancient history see http://genesisveracityfoundation.com.
