Katherine Reece Hall of Maat Egyptian Archaeology Chatroom Confusion Ignorance Willful Blindness about Orientation of Great Pyramid of Giza to Cardinal Point Directions True North How Did Old Kingdom Egyptian Pharoahs’ Astronomers Measure Earth East West Distances to Align Great Pyramid of Giza to True North Pole Precession Timekeeping for Ancient Longitude Determinations Calculations?

Most archaeologists are still at a loss to explain how the ancient Egyptians aligned the Great Pyramid of Giza to True North (the North Pole) to within a 0.5% accuracy, because this certainly necessitates that they could very accurately measure time, in order to measure east west distances, the ability to measure longitude, like our modern nautical mile system, with arc minutes and arc seconds, to allow the time-dependent north-south longitude lines along the curvature of the earth, the lines which merge at the North and South Poles.

I was perusing the Hall of Maat website, where they are wondering about this at the chatroom there, but they should not be wondering, because I visited that website a few years ago and showed them how the ancients did it, by measuring the rate of precession, the slow wobble of the earth’s axis as it spins and rotates around the sun, explained in article #2 at http://IceAgeCivilizations.com.  Katherine Reece and the crew over there dismissed the finding as nonsense, no doubt because I’m a young earth creationist.  See http://genesisveracityfoundation.com.
