Genesis History Day Age Theory Controversy Young Earth Creationism Morning Evening Six Days Creation Why God Called It Good No Sin Disease Death Entered World Day Night Creation Separated Light from Dark Sun Moon Day Four Problem Solved God Liked Light Separation Darkness Day One Model 24 Hour Period Days Creation Week How Old is Planet Earth?

Are the six days of creation chronicled in Genesis supposed to be 24 hour periods?  From day four on, they surely were, with God saying that the sun and the moon were created on day four to mark the days and nights (“that was the morning and evening of day four”), but what about days one through three?  On day one, God said he separated the light from darkness, calling the light day, and the darkness night, then saying that was the morning and evening of day one, with the sun and moon coaelescing on day four, the day and the night going forward marked by the earth’s regular spin (the rate of which ‘though is slowing about half a second/year), once per day, as it surely rotates around the sun, day and night.

Does God like sin according to the bible?  No.  So if the days of creation were really hundreds of millions of years in duration as many christians too lazy or intimidated to defend Genesis say, then why with disease and death (“because of sin”) through those ostensible billions of years did God call the product of his six days of creative work good?  It would clearly indicate that the loving creator God, who sent his son to die for humankind, approved of all that suffering through hundreds of millions of years, flying in the face of the biblical fact scribed that sin and death entered the world about six thousand years ago, according to the bible, interpreting the holy scripture as it reads, see article #13 at http://GenesisVeracity.com, not what the darwinists want to see.
