The arctic ocean coastal plain of the north slope of Alaska was a land of fields, forests, and streams, during the Ice Age, when mastodons (elephants) and sabretooth cats roamed the pastures and forests there, with many other mammals, both large and small, having plenty to eat, and decent whether in which to thrive, because the world ocean during the Ice Age was paradoxically warmer, keeping the coastal regions of the arctic free from glaciation, paradoxically, which explains why there are thousands of large mammal bones now found in the frozen muck of the coastal tundra, usually on river valley hillsides, because the creatures were flooded out, then frozen, because the Ice Age ended, with longer and much colder winters to follow, and much warmer short summers, for the prolific snowmelt to have flooded out those animals.  This is according to creation science, which Sarah Palin would ok to teach in public schools along with the darwinian model, which says that it was even colder in the Arctic during the Ice Age than it is today, obviously a specious notion.

When compared to the creationist model for the ice age history of the north slope of Alaska, the darwinian model looks foolish, and this is why the demagogues in public school education don’t want creation science compared and contrasted with their darwinian model, as theirs doesn’t stack up, in all the relevant fields of study, so don’t hold your breath that Palin’s advocacy for academic freedom will take hold in the public schools, but we can all do our part in bringing the scientific issues to the public’s attention.
